Psychotherapy Long Island, NY

You have been strong for everyone else. You do not have to carry it all alone.

You may look capable and calm on the outside while feeling anxious, exhausted, or overwhelmed inside. If you are tired of holding everything together, therapy can help you feel more grounded, set healthier boundaries, and make room for your own needs.

Does This Sound Familiar

Your mind starts racing before your feet touch the floor.

You feel responsible for everyone else's needs and emotions.

You say yes when you want to say no, then feel resentful or drained.

You overthink conversations and worry that someone is upset with you.

You stay productive, but inside you feel like you are in survival mode.

You want to rest, but slowing down makes you feel guilty or unsafe.

You are not weak, selfish, or broken. You may have learned to survive by staying alert, taking care of others, and putting yourself last. Those patterns helped you get through difficult experiences, but they may no longer be helping you live the life you want

You are ready for a real change

You are tired of simply getting through the day. You do not want another quick fix or another list of coping skills that leaves the deeper problem untouched. You want to understand why you feel this way and finally change the patterns that keep you anxious, overwhelmed, and putting yourself last.

My name is Aiyana, I am an Anxiety Therapist in Long Island, and I Can Help

Aiyana Smith Therapist in Long Island Specializing in Anxiety and Trauma

Therapy Can Help You Come Back to Yourself

I am Aiyana Smith, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Southampton, New York. I work with women across Long Island who are dealing with anxiety, trauma, chronic stress, guilt, and emotional overwhelm.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. I will not judge you, rush you, or tell you to walk away from the people and responsibilities that matter to you. Together, we will look at what you have been carrying, how it is affecting you, and what needs to change so you can feel more peaceful and present in your own life.

How I Work

EMDR helps the brain and nervous system process painful experiences that still feel active in the present. You do not have to describe every detail of a difficult memory for EMDR to be helpful.

CBT helps you notice and change thought patterns that feed anxiety, guilt, and overgiving. It can help you question beliefs such as, 'I have to handle everything' or 'Saying no makes me selfish.'

DBT offers practical skills for managing strong emotions, handling stress, communicating clearly, and setting limits without abandoning yourself.

We will use the approaches that fit your needs. Therapy is not one-size-fits-all, and you will always have a voice in the process.

What We May Work On

Calming anxiety and feeling safer in your body

Understanding triggers and responding with more choice

Setting boundaries without being overwhelmed by guilt

Managing intense emotions and relationship stress

Letting go of the belief that you must do everything alone

Making decisions based on your needs and values

Feeling more rested, connected, and present
